After a successful weekend that included winning a Top-3 series against Georgia Tech, the UNC baseball team found itself right back on the diamond Tuesday night.

North Carolina hosted High Point, a mid-major program on the rise that'll compete for the Big South Championship. The Diamond Heels knew they'd be in for a challenge, but quickly decided things in the early innings.

Thanks to nine runs in the first four frames, UNC won 9-2 to remain a perfect, 12-0 in mid-week action.

North Carolina (34-7-1, 15-6 ACC) and High Point (26-14, 11-4 Big South) traded a scoreless first inning, then the Diamond Heels took advantage of timely Panther errors in the second, scoring their first three runs. HPU got one run back on a third-inning sacrifice fly, then UNC came crashing in.

North Carolina scored its final six runs in the fourth inning, starting with Colin Hynek's 3-RBI double. Erik Paulsen drove in Hynek, then Cooper Nicholson homered to score himself and Paulsen.

The Diamond Heels used a combination of seven pitchers to win, starting with Jackson Rose and ending with Camron Seagraves. Bullpen star Caden Glauber secured his fifth victory, striking out three Panthers and only allowing three baserunners, across 1 2/3 innings pitched.

UNC and HPU combined for just nine hits, but UNC cashed it when it counted. The Panthers only drove in one run, thanks to their third inning fielder's choice, while scoring their second with the game long decided.

North Carolina heads down the road this coming weekend, facing Duke in the Tobacco Road Rivalry series. The Blue Devils (22-20, 8-13 ACC) are struggling in Year One of the post-Chris Pollard era, something the Diamond Heels need to take full advantage of.
