The North Carolina Tar Heels are making major moves this offseason, and their latest target could be a game-changer. New head coach Michael Malone, already busy reshaping the program, has set his sights on an elite scorer from within the ACC.

Wake Forest transfer Juke Harris, a 6'7" wing who exploded for 21.4 points per game this past season, is reportedly high on the Tar Heels' list. After a freshman year with limited minutes, Harris broke out as a sophomore, starting every game and establishing himself as one of the most coveted players in the transfer portal.

UNC appears to be in a strong position, with Malone and his staff, including new assistant Kim English, having already met with Harris for both an in-home visit and a dinner in Winston-Salem. Securing a scorer of Harris's caliber would be a massive addition for a UNC team looking to reload and contend in the ACC.

However, the Tar Heels face stiff competition. The defending national champion Michigan Wolverines, who have also met with Harris, are seen as the primary challengers. The Tennessee Volunteers are also reportedly in the mix, setting up a high-stakes recruiting battle for one of the portal's premier talents.
