Bayern Munich fans have escaped a stadium ban ahead of the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Governing body UEFA on Thursday fined the German champions almost €90,000 ($105,000) over various incidents during the team's quarter-final victory over Real Madrid.
In the closing stages of the second leg at the Allianz Arena, Bayern supporters climbed over the fence and made their way to the touchline.
After the 4-3 winning goal in stoppage time, they pushed against photographers sitting behind the advertising hoardings.
Several journalists were trapped in the process. According to police reports, at least two women and two men were injured.
UEFA imposed a fine of €40,000 for the pitch invasion, along with €30,000 for the dissemination of inappropriate messages, €14,000 for blocking public passageways and €5,625 for throwing objects.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund apologized for the incidents after the match, but asked for understanding.
"It was chaos and we’re sorry about that," said Freund. "But it was an extraordinary evening of football with a great deal of emotion. And then things certainly got a bit out of hand."
The Bavarian side was fortunate to avoid a partial stadium ban for fans for the second leg against the Champions League holders on May 6.
After repeated incidents involving pyrotechnics, the Allianz Arena's south stand was given a suspended ban in December 2025.
