Brown has one year of NCAA eligibility remaining. She is the fourth transfer addition to the defending national champion’s roster for next season, joining Arkansas guard Bonnie Deas, North Carolina guard Elina Aarnisalo and TCU guard Donovyn Hunter.
Brown is one of the best players to come out of Iowa State in program history. She ended her career with the Cyclones as the program’s 25th all-time leading scorer (1,211 points), tied for sixth in program history with 8.1 rebounds per game and ranked seventh in program history with 460 assists.
Last season, Brown started in all 21 games she played in. She missed 11 games of the season with a lower body injury in January but finished the season averaging 11.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
As a sophomore, she was named a All-Big 12 Conference second-team selection.
Brown signed with Iowa State as the 2022-23 Gatorade Kansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year and a 2023 McDonald’s All-American. She immediately earned a starting role with the Cyclones and was the only Iowa State player to start in all 33 games of the 2023-24 season.
Now, Brown will play with UCLA for the final season of her collegiate career.
In addition to the three other transfers, Brown will join returning Bruins Sienna Betts, Timea Gardiner, Lena Bilic, Amanda Muse and Christina Karamouzi along with incoming freshman guard Somto Okafor next season.
