PHILADELPHIA -- As the Philadelphia 76ers now head into an elimination game on Tuesday against the Boston Celtics, they will need all hands on deck to keep the season alive in Game 5.

That includes rookie VJ Edgecombe who had a miserable two games at home. After a historic performance in Philadelphia's Game 2 victory, Edgecombe combined to shoot 0-for-11 from deep in the losses in Games 3 and 4. He only had six points on 2-for-9 shooting in the Game 4 loss, which is just not going to cut it.

Edgecombe's shot attempts were down, but the Sixers need him to take more looks and he is being pushed to do so by Tyrese Maxey.

"Keep shooting," Maxey said on Sunday. "Keep shooting. Keep staying aggressive. Find your spots. He shot nine shots. You got to take them. I don't know. Again, I got to go back and watch his shot selection of what shots he was able to shoot, but I know he had a couple open 3s. I’m perfectly fine with them."

The Sixers will need Edgecombe to get aggressive and be a big part of this team's success. He has had an impressive knack for being able to bounce back from any poor performances and he will have to do so again on Tuesday.

"Getting to his mid-range shots, attacking the basket, all that with a purpose, all of that," Maxey finished. "I think he should do more of it, and I know he has to do more of it. We need those guys to shoot those shots and make those shots. That’s just the fact of the matter."
