IRVING, Texas (FOX 44) — Redshirt senior first baseman Tyce Armstrong has been named the Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week.

Armstrong has hit 14 home runs this season, the most by a Baylor player in a single season since 2012. He is now just two home runs shy of breaking into the program’s all time single season leaderboard.

Armstrong is also making history, becoming just the second Baylor player to earn Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors twice in the same season.
