Former Xavier University men's basketball standout guard Tu Holloway has joined Chris Mack's coaching staff at the University of South Florida (USF) as director of player development, the Bulls announced April 23.

A report April 9 from Fox 19's Joe Danneman indicated that Holloway was headed to USF.

Holloway played four seasons at XU, from 2008-12. Mack was a Xavier assistant from 2004-09, and was the Musketeers' head coach from 2009-18.

Mack tweeted in January that Holloway visited him at College of Charleston. Mack, a former St. Xavier High School standout who also played at XU, left Charleston on March 25 to become South Florida's head coach.

USF also introduced Allen Payne − a former Winton Woods High School standout who started his coaching career spending two seasons as a graduate assistant on then-head coach Mack's staff at Xavier − as a new assistant coach.

Longtime XU assistant Dante Jackson left the Musketeers to join Mack's USF staff, and Mack named former XU assistant Jeremy Growe as associate head coach.
