A new group of rookies will be entering the NFL on Thursday night, with Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft set to get underway in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Along with the rookie class, a new class of NFL WAGs will be introduced to a national audience when live coverage of the event begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network.
One woman who is familiar with the cameras is Leanna Lenee, the wife of Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Hunter, who was the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s draft.
Lenee took to TikTok ahead of this year’s draft to share some advice for the wives and girlfriends of the future group of NFL stars, including how to handle the situation with cameras around.
Lenee dropped some tongue-in-cheek comments, referencing viral claims that she is a “gold digger” because of her relationship with the Heisman Trophy winner.
“Don’t get in the camera because if you get in the camera too much, you want this to revolve around you. Also, don’t avoid the cameras because then you don’t care about your boyfriend or fiancé,” she joked. “Apparently, some people are going to tell you to sit up. Also, don’t sit up too fast because you’re making it about you. Don’t hug him before his mom hugs him, because that’s wrong.
“Don’t cry, because if you do, you’re dramatic. Don’t wear heels, because your feet are going to start to hurt, and your man will carry you. But if you don’t wear heels, you’re classless. Don’t smile too much, because if you do, they’re going to think you’re just there for the money.”

We will have to see whether any new faces go viral during Thursday night’s broadcast, but if they do, hopefully, they will be able to approach the situation with a sense of humor like Lenee.
