The 2026 NFL draft is upon us, and as always, there is a slew of Ohio State players who will get drafted. In fact, we've already seen four players go inside the top 11 as a part of Round 1 of the draft on Thursday, and now it's time to continue the next six rounds of the draft through Friday and Saturday.
As we do every year, we are keeping track of all the Ohio State players that hear their name called through all seven rounds of the draft in as real-time as possible. They announce them in Pittsburgh, and we provide you with the round, pick number, and name, what team made the pick, and a short bio of the fit.
You can come back throughout the NFL draft to see where things stand, but as for now, here is our Ohio State player 2026 NFL draft tracker in all of its scarlet and gray glory.
The Ohio State football team continues to solidify itself as "Wide Receiver U." Carnell Tate was just selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2026 NFL draft. He becomes the second receiver selected in the top five picks in the last decade, joining another Buckeye great in Marvin Harrison Jr.
Tate was the clear No. 1 receiver going into the NFL combine. But as the prognosticators do, they found something to nitpick about, not feeling comfortable with Tate's 40 time. That didn't concern the Titans as the team went out to get an absolute playmaker for last year's No. 1 overall pick, Cam Ward.
Tate hauled in 51 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. He'll be asked to do a lot more in Tennessee as he'll be a true No. 1 receiver, something he never had to face at Ohio State with Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith.
It was a slight tumble in the draft for Reese as he was projected as high as No. 2 in the draft to the New York Jets. The Jets chose to go with Texas Tech pass rusher David Bailey, but Reese still ended up in the Big Apple. The question is, will he make the Jets regret passing on him while playing in the same stadium?
Reese had a breakout season with the Bucks on a record-setting defense, totalling 69 tackles, two pass deflections, and 6.5 sacks. More so, Reese is the kind of athletic freak that NFL teams love. He's big, fast, and fearless. Welcome to New York, Arvell.
Styles had an excellent Ohio State career full of highlights and big plays, yet the one I think of most about him is a play I feel far too few appreciate. On Jack Sawyer's legendary scoop-and-score, Styles ran down Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner and blocked him all the way down the field to stop him from catching Sawyer.
Styles offers great versatility because he played safety and was then moved to linebacker. He has great length and athleticism and is a long, fast-twitch player who can do a lot of things on the football field. The Washington Commanders have to be over the moon that he fell down this far, and they were happy to snatch him up.
It's actually a little later than most believed the Swiss Army Knife, Caleb Downs, would fall, and it must have surprised Dallas owner Jerry Jones and company as well, because they traded up to get him.
Downs transferred to Ohio State from Alabama after his freshman season, and he became a Buckeye legend by helping lead the team to its national championship after the 2024 season. Ohio State's own website says that Downs is regarded by many as the best defensive player in the country, and it's hard to argue with that.
With Downs' speed, strength, and football instincts, he is already a potential elite defensive back in the NFL. And with his clear leadership abilities that he showed on the field, even as an underclassman in 2024, he is exactly the type of top player that NFL teams are looking for.
