Too early to discuss future - Swansea's Vipotnik

Championship top scorer Zan Vipotnik says he will wait to see what the summer brings amid speculation over his future.

Zan Vipotnik is keeping his cards close to his chest as speculation swirls around his future at Swansea City. The Championship's top scorer, who has netted an impressive 23 goals in 43 league appearances this season, remains calm and collected when asked about a potential summer move.

"It's too early to discuss my future," the 24-year-old striker said, reflecting on what he calls a "magical" season. "I'll wait to see what the summer brings."

Vipotnik's transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. After struggling in his first season in English football—scoring just seven goals in 44 appearances—he has emerged as one of the most feared forwards in the division. His 23-goal tally puts him on the verge of winning the Championship Golden Boot as Swansea prepare for their season finale against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

The Slovenian international has already cleaned up at the club's end-of-season awards, and was named in the Championship Team of the Season at last month's EFL awards, where he was also nominated for the overall Player of the Year prize.

Few could have predicted such success when Vipotnik arrived on a free transfer from Bordeaux after the French club's financial collapse. His debut season was a steep learning curve, with many questioning whether he could adapt to the physical demands of English football.

"Last year was the season of learning," Vipotnik explained. "I scored my first goal early and thought it would be easier after that. But I soon realized how tough this league really is. I'm thankful for that first season—I learned a lot, and I grew as a person, especially in how to handle setbacks."

This season began with Liam Cullen as Swansea's first-choice striker and Vipotnik on the bench. Now, as the summer transfer window approaches, the question on everyone's mind is whether the hotshot forward will still be wearing a Swansea shirt come August. For now, Vipotnik is content to let his goals do the talking.
