Sandro Tonali is setting his sights on staying in the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United reportedly leading the chase for the Newcastle United midfielder.
The Italy international has been linked with a move away from St James' Park after the Magpies missed out on Champions League football. While Arsenal made an enquiry during the January transfer window, both Manchester City and Manchester United have kept tabs on the 25-year-old's situation—with the Red Devils placing him high on their midfield wishlist.
Earlier this year, rumors suggested Tonali preferred a return to Serie A, but those claims have now been firmly dismissed. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the former AC Milan star has no intention of heading back to Italy this summer and is "ready to stay in the Premier League."
Newcastle have slapped a hefty £80 million price tag on Tonali, a fee that would likely price out most Italian clubs. If the Magpies fail to secure Champions League qualification—as expected—they may need to offload one of their prized assets to fund a squad rebuild for the 2026-27 campaign.
Tonali isn't the only Newcastle star drawing interest. Lewis Hall, Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes, and Tino Livramento are all reportedly on the radar of Premier League and European giants, setting up a potentially busy summer on Tyneside.
