In a move that bridges Tennessee football past and present, the Titans have found their new radio analyst. Following the passing of beloved color commentator Dave McGinnis in April at age 74, the team has selected former NFL offensive lineman Ramon Foster to fill the void in the broadcast booth.
Foster brings a wealth of football experience to the microphone. The Ripley, Tennessee native played 11 seasons (2009-2019) with the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning two Super Bowl rings. Before his NFL career, he was a standout at the University of Tennessee, where he now serves as a color commentator—a role he stepped into in 2025.
For Titans fans, Foster's voice is already familiar. He currently co-hosts the morning show "Ramon and Will" on 104.5 The Zone, the team's flagship radio station, and previously worked as a sideline reporter for the Titans. This local connection made him a natural choice over several prominent former Titans players who expressed interest in the role.
Among those passed over were linebacker Keith Bulluck, who openly campaigned for the job on his podcast, defensive back Jason McCourty (who works CBS games), and offensive lineman Brad Hopkins (a SiriusXM contributor). Even former Titans tackle Taylor Lewan hinted he would have "definitely considered it depending on the money."
Foster will join newly hired play-by-play announcer Taylor Zarzour, who took over after longtime voice Mike Keith departed ahead of the 2025 season. Together, they'll aim to carry forward the legacy of "Coach Mac," who had been the Titans' radio analyst since 2017 and previously served as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals (2000-2003).
For a franchise steeped in offensive line tradition—from Bruce Matthews to Michael Roos—having a former lineman in the booth feels like a perfect fit. Foster's blend of local roots, Volunteer State pride, and NFL pedigree should resonate with Titans faithful tuning in on game days.
