Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft is slated for Friday, when all 32 teams will make their second and third-round selections on the draft board.
The New England Patriots currently have two picks on Day 2 after trading up in the first round on Thursday night with the Buffalo Bills to take Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu with the No. 28 overall pick.
By selecting Lomu early, the Patriots addressed one of their biggest needs on the roster. They now have a high-end swing tackle as a depth piece until he is ready to replace veteran offensive lineman Morgan Moses as the long-term right tackle.
When it comes to the Patriots, some of the positions to watch for in the next two rounds are edge rusher, defensive tackle, tight end and linebacker. The Patriots also still have eight Day 3 picks to potentially package with other picks to move up on the board on Friday.
