MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A few local players are getting their shot in the NFL despite not being selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Three local players signed contracts with their NFL teams as undrafted free agents.
Former Mobile Christian star and Alabama outside linebacker Deontae Lawson is among the most surprising players not drafted in any of the rounds. Lawson, however, quickly signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Former Faith Academy star and South Alabama wide receiver Caullin Lacy transferred to Louisville, where he finished his last two years at the collegiate level.
Lacy wouldn’t have the same explosive seasons with the Cardinals as he did at South Alabama. He signed a deal with the New York Jets.
Former South Alabama Jaguars running back Kentrel Bullock signed a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals.
