Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller has weighed in on his former club's thrilling Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain, predicting a very different atmosphere when the two sides meet again in Munich.

The first leg in Paris was nothing short of a classic—a breathless 5-4 victory for PSG that had fans on the edge of their seats. Müller, who watched from afar, described the match as a "spectacle" and a "true advertisement" for football in his latest newsletter. But while some anticipate another goal-fest, the 36-year-old believes the return leg will be a more calculated affair.

"My thesis: the second leg will be different," Müller wrote. "From the 60th minute onwards, both teams will have the result in mind, and that's when the adjustments come. Whoever is in the lead will be willing to sit a bit deeper, while the other takes control. That dynamic will shape the return leg."

Despite Bayern trailing by a single goal, Müller remains optimistic about their chances. "5-4 is not a disaster," he said. "There are more comfortable situations, of course. But Paris only have a one-goal advantage, and the second leg is at home."

The former Germany international was particularly impressed by Bayern's resilience after falling 5-2 behind in Paris. "I actually liked Bayern's performance in Paris even more than in the Madrid matches in the quarter-finals," he noted. "That consistency in their own game and that level of belief—it matters, because mentally you first have to process going 5-2 down. Bayern kept playing their football. No reckless, all-out chaos—just a confident push for a comeback."

Müller's confidence is clear: "If Bayern deliver another 90 minutes like they did in Paris, they'll win this by one or two goals."

With everything on the line, the second leg in Munich kicks off at 21:00 CET. Will Bayern's home advantage and Müller's faith prove decisive? One thing's for sure—this semi-final is far from over.
