Tom Moore just covered what the national media thought of the Cleveland Browns’ first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday. Although some people had debates on the team’s selection of WR KC Concepcion, overall, there was much more good than bad, despite what Matt Miller wants you to think:

With that in mind, we also wanted to gauge how Browns fans graded the team’s two first round picks. The results are in from yesterday’s first-round polls:
59% of Browns fans graded the pick of OT Spencer Fano with an “A,” and then 29% gave it a “B.” If I go to the old system I used to have of comparing it to grade point averages, then Fano comes out with a GPA of 3.45 to between a B+ and an A- from fans.
32% of fans graded the pick of WR KC Concepcion with a “B,” and the distribution was pretty all over the place. 28% gave the pick an “A,” 22% graded it a “C,” 14% gave it a “D,” and even 4% of fans gave it a big fat “F.” Concepcion’s GPA comes out to a 2.66, which puts it exactly on the dot of a B-, just evading a C+ by the smallest of margins.
One voter said, “[I graded] Fano an “A” based on the trade, but a “B” for Concepcion (rising to an A when I get ‘proof of life’ as regards his ability to catch).” Another member disputed that, arguing that they don’t consider taking a receiver with ‘dropsies’ a success.
After the first round of the NFL Draft, the Browns’ FanDuel odds to win the AFC Championship are 100/1. We’ll see if FanDuel revises the odds for teams as the draft continues.
