Chelsea sacked Liam Rosenior on Wednesday afternoon after only a little more than three months in charge.
A run of five consecutive Premier League defeats without scoring saw the axe fall on Rosenior, with the club now assessing successors ahead of the summer.

Pushed almost immediately to the front of the gossip columns, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has been thrust into the frame. The Argentine would be cinematic in the Premier League, with a fiery touchline persona and unrelenting will to win.
Simeone has been with Atletico Madrid since 2011, where he’s led the capital club to eight trophies, including two La Liga titles. Having twice reached Champions League finals, he’s overachieved in Europe and has Atleti in the semi-finals again this season. However, it’s approaching five years since the last silverware his side won, and Simeone may be ready for an exciting new challenge.
The former Chelsea left-back impressed in his first venture into the dugout at Flamengo. Luis hoovered up seven trophies in two-and-a-half seasons with the Brazilian side, including the 2025 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores.
Luis left unexpectedly in March, amid reports of a ‘breach of trust’ after rumours emerged of negotiations with BlueCo, owners of Chelsea and Strasbourg.
Another ex-Chelsea player who has shone since hanging up his boots and heading into management. Fabregas is the latest Pep Guardiola disciple to have taken to management with ease, leading Como from the second-tier to the upper echelons of Serie A.
The ambitious Italians are pushing for Champions League qualification in what would be a monumental feat. Having also worked with Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho, and Antonio Conte, among others, during his playing career, Fabregas has been well schooled.
Marco Silva is yet to sign a new contract at Fulham, with his deal due to expire in the summer. Silva has rebuilt his reputation across West London, ending Fulham’s yo-yo existence between the top two divisions.
After a period of consolidation in the Premier League, the driven Portuguese coach may be open to an opportunity to compete for major trophies.
Andoni Iraola is also set to be a free agent this summer and has confirmed he is leaving Bournemouth. The Spaniard’s three seasons at Bournemouth have included continued improvement despite the ongoing challenge of leaving key figures.
Despite mass sales this season, Iraola has the Cherries right in the mix to reach Europe for the first time. He’s been linked with former club Athletic Club, but a proposal from Chelsea could be too difficult to ignore.
