When she returns to the court, former Texas women's basketball player Aaliyah Moore will be wearing a different shade of orange.

Moore announced on Saturday that she has committed to Tennessee. Moore has spent the first four seasons of her collegiate career at Texas before entering the transfer portal earlier this month.

A 6-foot-1 forward and the No. 6 prospect in the Class of 2021, Moore averaged 8.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game with the Longhorns from 2021-25. Moore scored 39 points over the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 2022, and went for 21 points and 10 rebounds during the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

Moore, however, struggled with knee injuries throughout her time at Texas. She received a medical redshirt after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during the ninth game of UT's 2022-23 season. Her 2024-25 campaign was then cut short by tendonitis in her right knee. Moore later sat out the entirety of this past season while recovering from another knee surgery.

Oddly enough, Moore's last game in a Texas uniform came against Tennessee. During an 80-76 win over the Lady Vols in Austin on Jan. 23, 2025, Moore scored 11 points and made a couple of key plays for the Longhorns in the fourth quarter.

Less than two years later, Moore will switch sides in the longstanding UT-UT rivalry. Moore joins a Tennessee team that reached the NCAA Tournament but then turned over the majority of its roster this offseason. Auburn's Harissoum Coulibaly, Georgia's Rylie Theuerkauf, Texas A&M's Fatmata Janneh and Northern Arizona's Naomi White are among Tennessee's other key portal additions.
