Coach Mike White knows his team has hit its stride at the perfect moment. "We peaked at the right time," he said. "Everybody was hitting throughout the lineup, and the pitching and defense were solid."

But White isn't looking past the first weekend. Texas hosts the Austin Regional, which includes a dangerous Wisconsin squad from the Big Ten. "I had a pretty good idea that was going to happen, you know?" White said of a potential matchup with the Aggies. "It is what it is. We've just got to focus on where we're at this first weekend and worry about what's going to happen later down the road."

If the stars align, it would be a rematch of the memorable 2023 Super Regional series at McCombs Field, where Texas edged out A&M 2-1.
