Texas Longhorns hit the field at DKR Saturday for the Spring game/scrimmage. Arch Manning, Cam Coleman had a cameo as the full team got a workout.

The energy was electric at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium this past Saturday as the Texas Longhorns hosted their annual Fan Day, offering a thrilling preview of the 2026 squad. While not a traditional spring game, the open practice gave fans a vital look at the team's progress and new talent as they gear up for the season.

Head Coach Steve Sarkisian put the team through a comprehensive workout, featuring offensive and defensive drills, 7-on-7 sessions, and full 11-on-11 scrimmages. The event was a perfect showcase for the highly-touted newcomers, including star transfer wide receiver Cam Coleman and other recent additions to the roster.

All eyes were on quarterback Arch Manning, who looked sharp and mobile following his recovery from foot surgery. Manning took significant reps, displaying his trademark arm talent. He connected multiple times with Cam Coleman, including a perfectly threaded pass on a dig route that split the defense for a would-be touchdown. This promising chemistry between the quarterback and his new top target is an exciting development for the Longhorns' offensive potential.

As is often the case in spring, the defense appeared to have the upper hand. Even with new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp installing his system, the unit showed impressive speed and cohesion, creating a competitive environment that will only make the offense better.

The day was a resounding success beyond the field, with Longhorns Nation turning out in force. From fans lining up for autographs to the palpable excitement around the team, the event proved that the hunger for Texas football has never been stronger. With new connections forming and the team looking focused, the anticipation for the fall is officially building in Austin.
