The NCAA Transfer Portal has another major name, as Texas A&M junior guard Pop Isaacs has officially entered, according to On3's Pete Nakos. This move marks the next chapter for the talented but itinerant guard, who will be playing for his fourth school in as many years next season, utilizing his final year of eligibility.

Isaacs, a former four-star prospect from the 2022 class, began his collegiate career at Texas Tech, where he was a standout scorer. After two seasons with the Red Raiders, he transferred to Creighton for the 2024-25 campaign. A promising start there—averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists—was cut short after just eight games by a season-ending hip injury. He then joined first-year Texas A&M coach Bucky McMillan this past season, serving primarily as a key bench contributor, averaging 9.8 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.5 rebounds.

His journey has been marked by both on-court production and off-court controversy. While at Texas Tech, a civil lawsuit was filed against him, alleging assault of a minor during a team trip to The Bahamas in 2023. The lawsuit, which sought $1 million in damages, was dismissed in April 2024. Isaacs departed the Red Raiders program shortly before the dismissal.

Now back in the portal, Isaacs brings a proven scoring pedigree and extensive experience, albeit with a complex history. For a team in need of backcourt firepower, he represents a high-upside, one-year rental who has shown he can be a primary offensive option when healthy.
