Tennessee's biggest pick-up in the transfer portal is excited to get to Rocky Top. Along with his excitement, he has made quite the promise to the Volunteer fans.

The Tennessee Volunteers men's basketball program is putting together something special, and the excitement around Rocky Top is reaching a fever pitch. Head coach Rick Barnes has been busy in the transfer portal, and his latest prize—guard Juke Harris—has fans dreaming big about the upcoming season.

Harris, who joins Tennessee after a standout year at Wake Forest, is the highest-rated transfer Barnes has ever landed. According to USA TODAY, he's the No. 2 overall player in the portal, and his commitment pushed the Vols to the top-ranked transfer portal class in the country. That alone is reason for fans to mark their calendars.

Last season, Harris put up eye-popping numbers: 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field. He chose Tennessee over Michigan, North Carolina, and several other elite programs—a testament to the culture Barnes has built in Knoxville.

What sealed the deal for Harris? Barnes' honesty. "He came in and told me how good I was, but he also got on me about some stuff they can see that I need to work on," Harris explained. "I feel like I'll be more of a complete player going into Tennessee next year." That kind of transparency, paired with a proven track record of player development, made the Vols the obvious choice.

Harris is already looking ahead to the 2027 NBA Draft, but first, he's focused on making an immediate impact in Knoxville. And he's making a promise to the Volunteer faithful: "I'm super ready to come play in front of you guys, and it's going to be a big show."

With Harris joining an already loaded roster, Tennessee fans have every reason to believe the atmosphere at Thompson-Boling Arena is about to be electric. If his confidence is any indication, this could be one of the most memorable seasons in recent Vols history.
