Tabor Academy is making waves well beyond the shores of Massachusetts. The Seawolves, one of the top high school football programs in New England, have released their 2026 schedule, and it features a blockbuster cross-country matchup that has the recruiting world buzzing.

On October 9, Tabor will travel to El Dorado Hills, California, to face the Oak Ridge Trojans—a program that posted a strong 9-4 record last season. It’s a historic trip for the Seawolves, marking their first foray outside the Northeast region in recent memory and a major statement about the growing national profile of Massachusetts high school football.

Leading the charge for Tabor will be 2027 four-star quarterback Peter Bourque, a dynamic dual-threat talent who lit up the stat sheet last season. Bourque accounted for 2,929 all-purpose yards and 33 total touchdowns, including 2,241 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and 688 rushing yards with 15 more scores. His leadership was on full display in the Seawolves' dominant 42-21 win over Buckingham Browne & Nichols School to claim the John Papas Bowl title in the NEPSAC.

Tabor finished the 2025 season undefeated at 9-0, ranked No. 6 in the final Massachusetts High School Football Massey Rankings. With a roster loaded with talent and a schedule that now includes a premier opponent from California, the Seawolves are poised to continue their rise as a national contender.

Here’s a look at Tabor Academy’s full 2026 schedule (official game times to be announced later):

Sep. 12 – Avon (CT) Avon Old Farms
Sep. 19 – Easthampton (MA) The Williston Northampton School
Sep. 26 – at Byfield (MA) The Governors Academy
Oct. 3 – at Milton (MA)
Oct. 9 – at El Dorado Hills (CA) Oak Ridge
Oct. 16 – Pawling (NY) Trinity Pawling
Oct. 24 – at Belmont (MA) Belmont Hill School
Oct. 31 – Concord (NH) St. Paul’s School
Nov. 7 – at Needham (MA) St. Sebastian’s School
Nov. 14 – Cambridge (MA) Buckingham Browne & Nichols School

As the Seawolves prepare to ride the wave into 2026, fans and scouts alike will be watching closely—especially when Tabor takes the field in California for what promises to be one of the most intriguing non-conference games of the season. For Massachusetts football, the future has never looked brighter.
