While Orange basketball fans have been worried about the men’s transfer portal, the Syracuse women still have a bunch of roster spots to fill.
Last night, they picked up a commitment from former SMU Mustang Tyi Skinner, a 5’5” guard from Washington DC.

Skinner only played in 8 games last season and will receive another medical redshirt to give her a 7th year next season. She started her career at Delaware, playing two seasons for the Blue Hens before moving to Arizona State where she played two seasons sandwiched around a year missed due to an ACL injury.
For her career, Skinner averages 14.3 points, 2.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 33% from 3. Skinner should bring some scoring punch to the Syracuse backcourt which needs to replace Laila Phelia and possible Dominique Darius.
We’ll keep you updated as more transfer portal news breaks.
