Orange coaching staff has a busy weekend as they look to rebuild the roster

The Syracuse women's basketball program is wasting no time this offseason. With significant roster spots to open, head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her staff kicked off a crucial recruiting weekend, hosting four talented transfers as they look to rebuild for the coming season.

The Orange welcomed a promising group of visitors, headlined by Tennessee transfer Deniya Prawl. A former McDonald’s All-American at IMG Academy, Prawl brings pedigree and international experience from Canada’s U17 squad. While she started seven games as a freshman for the Vols, averaging 4 points and 2.7 rebounds, her potential as a dynamic wing scorer could be a perfect fit for Syracuse's needs.

Also making the trip was Oregon forward Sarah Rambus. The 6'3" post player, another IMG Academy product, averaged 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in a reserve role for the Ducks. Her size and experience make her a candidate to help fill the void behind returning post presence Uche Izoje.

The Orange also hosted a pair of transfers from Maryland, aiming to add immediate depth and production. Guard Kyndal Walker, a 5'9" playmaker, started four games last season, averaging 6.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest. Her backcourt versatility would be a valuable addition.

Perhaps the most impactful visitor was Terrapins forward Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu. The 6'3" London native started 21 games, averaging 8 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting an efficient 57% from the field. Her proven production and size signal a clear intent from Syracuse to pair an experienced, physical post player with Izoje for the upcoming campaign.

As the Orange look to the future, the transfer portal giveth and taketh away. In related news, former Syracuse players Sophie Burrows and Camdyn Nelson have found new homes, committing to North Carolina and Northwestern, respectively. The roster reshuffle is in full swing, and this busy weekend of visits marks a critical first step for Coach Legette-Jack's rebuilding efforts.
