Colby Covington is frustrated with the UFC keeping him on the sidelines, but luckily, Real American Freestyle has kept him quite busy. And if the combat sports world doesn’t work, Covington might find some success as a competitive golfer.
On the third episode of Swing Rounds, “Chaos” joins MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck at Crescent Oaks Golf Club in Tarpon Springs, Fla., just outside of Tampa, as they take part in a nine-hole scramble on a beautiful afternoon for golf.
While taking on one of Florida’s surging public golf courses, Covington reacts to being left off of the UFC White House card, Bo Nickal claiming Covington turned him down for a fight on the historic card, his thoughts on the lineup in general, and why the event likely ends in a rough way.
Additionally, Covington reacts to the MVP MMA card on May 16 and why it’s a good thing, discusses who should face Islam Makhachev next for the welterweight title, if he has any regrets, the big fight that got away, and much more.
Can the team deliver the goods on the golf course? Find out on the return of MMA Fighting’s Swing Rounds in the video above. And a special thanks to Crescent Oaks Golf Club for for allowing us to film our round on this incredible golf course.
