The Miami Valley's hardwood talent is taking center stage! Seven standout high school basketball players from the area have earned coveted invitations to the prestigious Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) All-Star Game.

On the boys' side, the South team will feature a trio of local stars: CJ Bailey of Tippecanoe, Trey Sagester of Tri-Village, and Isaiah Thompson of Wayne. Bailey, a first-team all-Ohio selection in Division III, was a dynamic floor general averaging 14.9 points and 4.9 assists. Sagester put up video-game numbers, averaging 25.0 points per game en route to being named the D-VI Player of the Year and a Mr. Basketball finalist. Thompson, an honorable mention all-Ohio pick in D-I, was the engine for Wayne, leading his team in scoring, assists, and steals.

They'll be joined by an impressive quartet on the girls' South team: Bella Cherry (Tri-County North), Alex Dixon (Urbana), Katey Litten (Versailles), and Kaylah Thornton (Fairmont). Thornton's season was nothing short of legendary; the Ms. Basketball finalist and D-I first-team All-Ohio selection led Fairmont to a state championship while dominating the GWOC. Dixon was a scoring machine, averaging 22.3 points per game for Urbana, while Litten earned second-team All-Ohio honors in D-V. Cherry rounded out the group as a versatile threat who led her conference in points and steals.

These seven athletes represent the pinnacle of high school basketball in the region, showcasing the skill and dedication that define the sport. The all-star clash is set for April 24 at Olentangy Liberty High School, where they'll look to cap their stellar prep careers with one more memorable performance.
