Despite ending with four straight losses, head coach Julien Stephan thinks QPR have a 'good project' to move forward.

Despite a challenging end to the season with four consecutive losses, Queens Park Rangers head coach Julien Stephan remains optimistic about the club's trajectory. The Hoops finished 15th in the Championship table after a final-day defeat to Ipswich Town, who secured automatic promotion with their victory. However, Stephan, in his debut season at the helm in west London, sees this campaign as a valuable learning curve and believes the foundations for success are solidly in place.

"It was a season with a lot of ups and downs—like many teams in this league—but the main takeaway is that I now know the level of this group," Stephan reflected. "It was a strong experience, and it's crucial to focus on the future. We have a good project here: passionate fans, strong management, and a positive mentality in the dressing room. These are great building blocks."

The season-ending loss to Ipswich highlighted areas for growth, as Stephan acknowledged his side's struggle to match the intensity of their opponents early on. "I told the players before the game it would likely be a wild first 15-20 minutes, and Ipswich started exactly as expected—very strongly. We couldn't find a way to respond in terms of intensity, and they punished us in that opening period. In the second half, we adjusted and played better, but we just couldn't find the back of the net," he explained.

For QPR fans, Stephan's confidence signals a positive direction. With a full season under his belt and a clear vision for improvement, the Hoops are poised to build on their progress. Whether it's sharpening their attack or shoring up their defense, the pieces are in place for a stronger push next term. As the summer transfer window approaches, supporters can look forward to a team eager to turn lessons learned into on-field success.
