Storm Stacey made an unforgettable entrance at the North West 200, storming to a double victory on his debut at the iconic road racing event. The 23-year-old British Superbike standout, riding his BMW, first claimed victory in the Superstock race, edging out Michael Dunlop. He then followed it up with a win in the second Superbike race, which was cut short due to an oil spill on the coast road section. The result was declared after just three laps, with Stacey taking the top spot, while Dean Harrison and Glenn Irwin rounded out the podium in second and third.

Glenn Irwin added to his legacy, securing his 12th career Superbike win at the North West 200 in the first Superbike race of the day. The Northern Ireland rider, piloting a Nitrous Competitions Ducati, held off a fierce challenge from Harrison, winning by a razor-thin margin of 0.18 seconds. Michael Dunlop finished third, 14.4 seconds behind. Irwin led most of the race, but Harrison briefly surged ahead at Juniper Hill on lap four. However, Irwin's consistency paid off, and he clocked the fastest lap at 124.997 mph. Peter Hickman, Josh Brookes, and Ian Hutchinson rounded out the top six, while Stacey impressed in seventh place, shattering the previous best lap for a newcomer with a speed of 123.725 mph. The race had to be restarted after a minor incident at Church Corner.

Michael Dunlop claimed victory in a chaotic Supersport race, which was twice red-flagged, marking his ninth career win at the event. The race saw multiple interruptions, but Dunlop's experience and skill shone through. Meanwhile, Peter Hickman and Jeremy McWilliams took the wins in the Supertwin and Sportbike races, respectively, adding to the day's thrilling action.

The North West 200 delivered drama, speed, and history, with Stacey's debut double stealing the spotlight. For fans and riders alike, it was a day to remember on the Triangle circuit.
