Falkirk striker Barney Stewart is having a season to remember, but the rising star insists all transfer speculation can wait until the final whistle blows. The 22-year-old, recently named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for March, is focused solely on finishing the campaign strong with the Bairns.
Stewart's remarkable journey from university football to the top flight is hitting new heights. After a productive loan spell at Dunfermline Athletic, where he netted eight Championship goals, he has exploded since returning to Falkirk, adding 10 more to his tally. This red-hot form has naturally sparked interest from clubs across Scotland and England.
However, the young forward is keeping a level head. "The best thing to do is just to block it out until the end of the season," Stewart told BBC Scotland. "Falkirk's done so much for me... The fans took me in from the first minute. It's easy to block out other clubs just because why else would I be looking elsewhere right now?"
He credits his time in the Championship as crucial preparation for the Premiership's demands, highlighting the increased "speed of thought" required at the top level. For now, Stewart's mindset is clear: repay the club's faith with goals and performances, letting his boots do the talking while the rumor mill spins elsewhere.
