The Lady Cougars responded from a loss at Edinburgh Thursday to posting an 11-5 victory against the Lady Lancers Friday.

South pounded out 13 hits in the contest. Dalilah Martin tallied a double and three singles. Raegan Benge finished with two doubles and three RBIs. Lyndsey Shireman added two singles and two RBIs. Carly Shook finished with two doubles and three RBIs. Lily Huey and Lilly Murray both had a single and RBI. Samantha Cole also had a single.

Riley Benge pitched 7.0 innings for South, allowing three earned runs on five hits and seven walks while striking out 10.

One night after the Lady Chargers defeated Hauser in walk-off fashion, the roles were reversed. The Lady Jets scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to post the walk-off win 12-11 against North Decatur.

The Lady Chargers tallied 17 hits in the contest. Brooklyn White finished with a double, two singles and two RBIs. Carmen Thackery and Madison Rohls both had three singles and one RBI. Brynlee Green and Kendall Hostkoetter both tallied two singles and three RBIs. Macie Leake had a pair of singles. MacKenzie Schneider and Haylee Schoettmer both singled.

In the circle, Green pitched 3.0 innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits and four walks. White pitched 3.2 innings, allowing five earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two.

Hagerstown scored 11 runs in the top of the first inning en route to a 16-0 victory against Rushville.

The Lady Lions had five singles in the game, one each by Nell Davis, Becca Tabeling, Althea Tellas, Charli Marcum and Haylie Tucker.

The Lady Lions had four players pitch in the game – Tabeling, Tellas, Kiara Flannery and Macey Blevins.
