After a dominant 20-2 home victory against Waldron the day before, the Lady Chargers showed no signs of slowing down on the road, blanking the Lady Mohawks 16-0 in a decisive sweep. The momentum was clear from the opening frame, as North exploded for seven runs in the first inning alone. Madison Rohls sparked the rally by scoring on a wild pitch, setting the tone for an explosive offensive display. An error by Waldron allowed Macie Leake to reach base and Kendall Hostkoetter to cross the plate, while Brooklyn White and Rileigh Hash also capitalized on wild pitches and groundouts to build a commanding early lead.

The Lady Chargers kept their foot on the gas in the second inning, adding three more runs. White tripled and came around to score on a throwing error, and a single from Wilson brought Hash home on another Waldron miscue. Haylee Schoettmer’s single then drove in Wilson, extending the lead to 10-0. North wasn’t done yet—in the fourth inning, Brynlee Green scored on a double to center field by Carmen Thackery, who later crossed the plate on a Rohls single. Rohls eventually scored on a passed ball, making it 13-0. The final blow came in the fifth inning, when White scored on a groundout by Wilson, and Schoettmer’s groundout plated both MacKenzie Schneider and Hash to seal the 16-0 victory.

North’s offense was firing on all cylinders, tallying 11 hits and drawing eight walks. Thackery led the way with a double, two singles, and an RBI, while White added a single, triple, and an RBI. Rohls contributed two singles and an RBI, and both Wilson and Schoettmer drove in three runs apiece with a single each. In the circle, White pitched four strong innings, allowing four hits and striking out five, while Green closed out the game with a scoreless inning.

However, the Lady Chargers’ hot streak hit a speed bump on Saturday when they traveled to Rising Sun and were swept in a doubleheader. The Lady Shiners took the opener 9-0, limiting North to just three hits behind a dominant performance from pitcher Elaina Titkemeyer. White managed a double, while Thackery and Rohls each singled, but the offense couldn’t find its rhythm. In the circle, White worked five innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits and three walks with four strikeouts, while Green tossed a relief inning.

The second game was a much tighter affair, showcasing the Lady Chargers’ resilience. Trailing 5-2 in the fourth inning, North fought back. Leake singled to score Hostkoetter, and White crossed the plate on a groundout by LaShay Dwiggins, cutting the deficit to just one run. But Rising Sun answered, pushing the lead to 9-2 heading into the seventh inning. Undeterred, North mounted a furious rally, scoring four runs. Green doubled to drive in Schoettmer and later scored on an error. Rohls doubled to left to bring home Thackery, and White’s double scored Rohls, making the final score 9-6 in a valiant comeback effort.

Despite the loss, North’s bats came alive with 11 hits. White had a standout performance with two singles, a double, and an RBI, while Thackery added a single and a double. Hostkoetter chipped in two singles, and Rohls and Green each had a single and an RBI. Leake singled and drove in a run, Dwiggins added an RBI, and Schoettmer contributed a single. In the circle, Green pitched six innings, allowing nine runs but showing the heart that defines this Lady Chargers squad.
