Greensburg opened the softball week’s schedule hosting EIAC foe Rushville Monday. The Lady Pirates scored one run in the first inning, four in the second inning and five in the fourth inning en route to the 10-0 victory. Greensburg's Harper Adams delivered a pitching masterclass this week, striking out a staggering 30 batters across two dominant starts to lead the Lady Pirates. The week began with a statement 10-0 victory over EIAC rival Rushville, where Adams was virtually untouchable in the circle.

In Monday's shutout, Adams set the tone early, pitching five perfect innings and racking up 15 strikeouts while allowing just one hit and one walk. Her command gave the Greensburg offense the freedom to explode, putting up runs in four consecutive innings to secure the mercy-rule win.

The Lady Pirates' bats came alive with extra-base power. Kamryn Haas launched a home run to center field, while Makayla Kieffer tripled and Tinley Klene and Addyson Dolan each added doubles. This offensive outburst, combined with Adams's lights-out pitching, showcased a complete team performance.

Adams wasn't done, carrying her formidable form into a second complete-game victory. She went the distance in a seven-inning contest, again striking out 15 batters and surrendering only two hits. This one-two punch from the circle establishes Adams as a premier force this season, a pitcher capable of controlling games from start to finish.

Meanwhile, South Decatur's offense put on a show of its own, erupting for 20 runs on 22 hits against Oldenburg Academy. The Lady Cougars' lineup was relentless, with Dalilah Martin leading the charge by finishing a home run shy of the cycle and driving in four runs. This kind of explosive hitting, paired with the dominant pitching seen from stars like Adams, defines the high level of play on the diamond this season.
