Skechers Strikes Deal With WNBA to Become Official League Partner

Skechers players Kiki Iriafen, Rickea Jackson and Jackie Young will kick off the partnership on court for the WNBA’s milestone 30th season.

Skechers is stepping up its game in women's basketball with a major new partnership. The footwear brand has signed a multiyear deal to become an official partner of the WNBA, just in time for the league's historic 30th season.

Leading the charge on the court will be Skechers' own roster of talent: Kiki Iriafen, Rickea Jackson, and Jackie Young. These three players will showcase the brand's performance footwear during the milestone season, marking the first time Skechers basketball shoes will take center stage in the WNBA.

"Partnering with the WNBA underscores our long-term commitment to promoting women's basketball and elevating athletes who are passionate about the game at every level," said David Weinberg, chief operating officer at Skechers. "We've been part of the basketball community for several seasons, and now fans will see our innovative footwear on the WNBA stage for the first time. We're excited to leverage the league's exploding popularity to help grow the sport while introducing our signature 'Comfort That Performs' to even more athletes worldwide."

The timing couldn't be better. Colie Edison, chief growth officer at the WNBA, described this partnership as arriving at a moment of "extraordinary momentum" for the league. "This partnership reflects the growing demand from global brands to connect with WNBA fans worldwide," Edison added. "We look forward to collaborating with Skechers to create unique fan experiences, deepen engagement, and elevate the players who power our league."

This isn't Skechers' first foray into women's basketball. In 2024, forward Rickea Jackson—recently traded to the Chicago Sky—made history as the first athlete to play in Skechers basketball footwear in the WNBA. The brand expanded its roster further in 2025, adding Washington Mystics forward Kiki Iriafen and Las Vegas Aces shooting guard Jackie Young, who captured her third WNBA championship last season.

"For me, it's all about staying comfortable and locked in, and Skechers gave me that all the way through our championship run last season," Young said. With the WNBA's 30th season tipping off, this partnership promises to bring fresh energy, innovative gear, and a whole new level of performance to the court. For fans and athletes alike, it's a slam dunk.
