The Sixers are set to tip off Game 6 in Philadelphia tonight, facing a daunting 3-1 series deficit against the Boston Celtics. History isn't on their side—Boston has won all 32 playoff series when taking a 3-1 lead, while the Sixers have never overcome such a hole in 18 attempts. But this series feels different.

Philadelphia's slow start can be partly attributed to Joel Embiid missing the first half of the series after an emergency appendectomy. Meanwhile, these Celtics aren't the same dominant squad of years past. Boston gutted key depth pieces to stay under the luxury tax, and they're still recovering from Jayson Tatum's Achilles rupture last spring. Many viewed this as a gap year for the perennial contenders.

So while the odds are steep, the task isn't as impossible as the 32-0 record suggests. The Celtics remain heavy favorites, but the Sixers have a real chance to make things interesting tonight. Here are six keys to watch.

1. Home Court Advantage? Not So Fast
Don't assume the Wells Fargo Center crowd guarantees a win. Under coach Joe Mazzulla, the Celtics actually perform better on the road in the playoffs (17-7, 70.8%) than at TD Garden (19-12, 61.3%). Boston's net rating is stronger at home, where they tend to run away with games, but their focus and ability to win close contests on the road is remarkable. The Sixers can't bank on the crowd alone—they'll need to earn every bucket.

2. Make Your Own Luck
As we've seen throughout this series, the Celtics rarely beat themselves. They're disciplined, experienced, and won't hand over easy opportunities. Philadelphia must force turnovers, grab offensive rebounds, and hit timely shots to create their own momentum. Expecting Boston to collapse under pressure isn't a winning strategy.

3. Kelly Oubre Jr. Needs to Wake Up
Oubre has struggled mightily this series, shooting just 38.3% from the field and a brutal 3-for-19 from three-point range. Even more telling: he has more fouls (14) than three-pointers made (3) and assists (5) combined. For the Sixers to extend the series, Oubre must find his rhythm, knock down open looks, and stay out of foul trouble. His energy on both ends could be the spark Philadelphia desperately needs.
