Bernardo Silva has regularly been linked with a move to Barcelona over the years and it’s no surprise to see his name popping up again ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international has confirmed he plans to leave Manchester City, with Diario Sport claiming once again that he fancies a move to Barcelona, noting how some of his family live in the city.

Pep Guardiola has also admitted he’s sad to see Bernardo leave, particularly after he played a starring role again in a crucial win over Arsenal on Sunday.

“If I talk too much, I’ll cry. All I can say is ‘thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, on behalf of this club, for everything you’ve done’. Bernardo has shown that football goes from head to toe,” he said,

“This guy is not the fastest, the swiftest, but he knows exactly at every moment what each action requires. He doesn’t get injured and he is always committed.

“He’s a special, special player. All I can say is that wherever he goes, the team will be immensely lucky to have him.”
