A troubling situation continues to develop around former Michigan assistant Paige Shiver and her connection to Sherrone Moore.
New information points to a years-long relationship between Shiver, 32, and the former University of Michigan head coach that existed well before she filed a formal complaint against him. That complaint eventually led to his termination.
The college football program announced Moore’s firing on Dec. 10, 2025, after learning about the situation involving a staff member. Things escalated when Moore later showed up at Shiver’s residence and allegedly confronted her while carrying knives.

Police arrested him on charges including third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering.
A significant detail came out during an interview with Linsey Davis on ‘Good Morning America’ on Friday, April 24. Shiver spoke openly about her relationship with Moore, who was married with children at the time.
She became pregnant during that period, which made an already difficult situation even more complicated. Shiver was diagnosed with Pompe disease around that same time, and doctors told her the pregnancy posed serious health risks.
“Multiple doctors and experts told me that it wouldn’t be right or healthy for me to keep the baby,” Shiver said. “[Moore] said, ‘You have to do what’s right for your body.'”

Shiver admitted her view of the relationship changed completely over time. She thought her feelings were genuine and rooted in love back then. Looking at it now, she sees things much differently and doesn’t believe what she went through matches what real love should look like.
The relationship started in 2022 when she worked as an intern, and both parties described it as consensual initially. Her role within the program shifted as time went on.
By 2024, after Moore took over as head coach, she moved into a bigger role as his executive assistant. That put her in much closer contact with him on a daily basis.
