Sherrone Moore's ex-assistant Paige Shiver has broken her silence on the relationship she had with the former University of Michigan football head coach.

In an interview with Good Morning America shared on Thursday (April 23), Shiver claimed Moore had "complete control" over every facet of her life. "Here’s a man that had complete control over me," she told the show's host. "Over my emotions, over my career. And he knew that, and he used it against me."

"Every time I tried to pull away, every time I tried to try and get out of even Michigan, he always had a story, always had a way to pull me in, and making me feel that I couldn't leave him because he was so miserable without me," she claimed.

Last week, Moore was sentenced to 18 months of probation after pleading no contest to malicious use of a telecommunications device and trespass. The charges stem from Moore confronting Shiver by allegedly entering her home without permission and grabbing knives from her kitchen before threatening self-harm for "ruining" his life.

After reporting their affair, Shiver allegedly cut off communication with Moore on December 8, 2025. Two days later, Moore showed up to her home, the same day he was fired.

Following his arrest, Moore denied that he assaulted her or threatened her with weapons.

In a statement obtained by People, Shiver's attorneys Andrew M. Stroth and Steven A. Hart said that his sentence "does not reflect the seriousness of Moore's unlawful entry and aggressive attack on Ms. Shiver."
