United States' Ben Shelton claimed his fifth ATP title with victory at the Munich Open on Sunday.

Shelton took the trophy after a 6-2, 7-5 victory against Italy's Flavio Cobolli, who had beaten home favourite Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals of the clay event.

The home crowd in Munich still had something to celebrate as Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner claimed their first ATP title in the doubles.

In the final, they defeated French duo Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 12-10.
