The Las Vegas Raiders' first round selection in early 2027 NFL mock drafts is beginning to show a consistent pattern. The Raiders are heavily forecasted to take a wide receiver in the first round of the draft next year. It just so happens that Texas WR Cam Coleman has emerged as a recurring pick to land in Las Vegas.
The Texas native was projected to land with the Raiders in no fewer than three 2027 mocks that all came out on Tuesday including The Athletic's Dane Brugler. Brendan Donahue at Sharp Football Analysis' Brendan Donahue, and Daniel Flick at Sports Illustrated.
Coleman went for 708 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns in 2025 at Auburn. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver registered eight touchdowns in 2024 as a freshman while averaging 16.2 yards per reception that year.
The Raiders selected Oregon WR Malik Benson with the No. 195 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Tre Tucker is Las Vegas' No. 1 receiver heading into next season. Nevertheless, the Raiders stand to gain from adding a top talent to their receiving corp, which figures to be the case in 2027, barring a significant move in the open market this year.
