Justin Simmons is retiring from pro football as one of the Denver Broncos' all-time greats.

After hanging up his cleats on Wednesday, Simmons steps away from the NFL ranked seventh on the team's all-time interceptions list with 30 (tied with six-time Pro Bowler Dennis Smith).

Simmons ranks third in franchise history with 64 pass breakups, and his 443 solo tackles officially rank 13th (that stat was not officially tracked early in the team's history).

After his time in Denver, Simmons spent one season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, recording two more interceptions, bringing his career total to 32 takeaways.

Simmons ranks among the best Broncos in franchise history — on and off the field. Similar to Champ Bailey, it's a shame that Simmons never won a Super Bowl in Denver, but that doesn't change the fact that he was one of the club's all-time best defensive backs.
