The NFL Draft wraps up on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean adding draft prospects is over! It’s time to look for the undrafted free agents, which is where the Seattle Seahawks have historically shined under general manager John Schneider.
It’s an interesting spot for the Seahawks, who normally have sizable undrafted classes. This year they entered the draft with 75 players on the active roster, added eight picks through the draft, so they only have room for eight UDFAs (factoring in Federico Maranges is an international exemption) before they have to start making some cuts to their 90-man roster. Some of the most noteworthy undrafted free agents for the Seahawks in the Schneider era include Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Poona Ford, Jake Bobo, Thomas Rawls, and last year they had Jared Ivey, Nick Kallerup, and Connor O’Toole make the 53-man roster.
