Sean Strickland may have walked away with the UFC middleweight championship at UFC 328, but he certainly didn't leave the Octagon unscathed. The newly crowned champion took to social media to reveal a laundry list of injuries sustained during his grueling split-decision victory over Khamzat Chimaev at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Strickland's medical report reads like a fighter's worst nightmare: a Type 2 AC separation, an extended Type 5 SLAP tear, and a partial rotator cuff tear with tendinosis—all shoulder-related ailments that would sideline most athletes for months. The New Jersey State Athletic Control Board has already handed down an indefinite medical suspension as a result.

As if the fight night damage wasn't enough, Strickland also disclosed that he suffered a Grade 1 AC joint separation during a sparring session with Johnny Eblen back in UFC 328 fight week. "Gonna have to walk this one off," Strickland quipped on X, showing the same gritty resilience that earned him the belt.

This marks the second time Strickland has captured welterweight gold, and while he's already eyeing Nassourdine Imavov as the likely No. 1 contender, Chimaev's camp has other ideas. For now, though, the champion's focus shifts from the Octagon to the recovery room—a reminder that even in victory, the toll on a fighter's body is immense.
