The Seattle Seahawks made their first pick in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL draft, and they added another pass catcher/special teamer. With the No. 199 overall pick in the draft, the Seahawks selected wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr. from Kansas.
This was the result of the trade they made with the New York Jets, trading back from No. 188 overall. Here is what Henderson's official draft profile has to say about the former Jayhawks standout:
Henderson is a slender inside/outside receiver. He has good speed and disguises route intentions but will need work getting his feet/tempo right as a route-runner. He’s a former running back with below-average hands but real potential after the catch. You won’t see many who return kicks and cover punts in the same game, but Henderson can handle both duties. His special-teams versatility and athletic upside give him a chance to make a roster as a WR5/6 and full-time gunner.
Henderson spent the first three years of his collegiate career with the Alabama Crimson Tide before transferring to Kansas. In his lone season for the Jayhawks, he hauled in 45 receptions for 766 yards and five touchdowns.
