By virtue of being the Super Bowl LX champions, the Seattle Seahawks will be picking at the end of the first round. It is only the second time in franchise history the Seahawks have held the honor of picking No. 32 overall. However, it's an honor they may not even utilize.
Seattle has only four picks in the 2026 NFL draft, as two of them were already spent by acquiring wide receiver Rashid Shaheed in a trade with the New Orleans Saints last year. A worthy investment, but now is the time where the Piper is getting paid. For the Seahawks, there's only one way to acquire more draft capital: trade back.
General manager John Schneider is letting it be known the No. 32 pick is up for sale, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. However, Schefter notes they aren't the only team towards the end of the first round looking to move back. It could end up being a buyer's market when it comes to the Seahawks looking to get a few more picks.
Interestingly enough, this is exactly what the Seahawks did the last time they had pick No. 32. Back in the 2014 NFL draft, Seattle made a deal with Minnesota to get out of the first round. The Vikings took quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, while the Seahawks eventually selected wide receiver Paul Richardson at No. 45 overall.
