Hearts goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow is brimming with confidence as the Scottish Premiership title race enters its thrilling final stretch. The German shot-stopper, who joined the club last August after an injury to first-choice keeper Craig Gordon, admits he never imagined he'd be part of a team leading the table with just a handful of games remaining. But now, he's fully focused on turning that dream into reality.
"It's been an incredible journey," Schwolow said, reflecting on a season that has seen Hearts defy expectations. "We took it game by game, collected points, and now we're in a fantastic position with four matches left." The team's recent 2-1 victory at Easter Road sparked wild celebrations, but Schwolow insists the focus has already shifted to Monday's crucial clash at Tynecastle. "Winning a derby is massive for us and our fans. It was a crazy game—I had a quiet afternoon, but the team took advantage of two extra men to secure the win."
With the title race heating up, every point is gold. "Monday is huge—every game has mattered, but these last five are especially important," Schwolow emphasized. "When you face direct rivals, it's a six-pointer. We're approaching it the same way we have all season: one game at a time." The goalkeeper is banking on the energy of the home crowd to push them over the line. "We feel confident, especially at Tynecastle with our amazing fans. We'll prepare as best we can to keep the points here."
