The Blooming Prairie softball team came out swinging on Thursday, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the first inning to set the tone for a 12-10 victory over Faribault Bethlehem Academy (5-11 overall). The Awesome Blossoms (5-13 overall) showed early offensive firepower that proved too much for their opponents to overcome.

Bella Schiller was the star of the show, delivering a triple and driving in four runs to lead the Blossoms' charge. Her performance at the plate was a key factor in Blooming Prairie's fast start, as she finished 2-for-2 with a triple, four RBIs, three runs scored, and two walks.

On the mound, Aubree Johnson earned the win with a complete-game effort, pitching seven innings while allowing eight hits, seven walks, and 10 runs (six earned). Despite some control issues, Johnson's ability to work through tough situations kept the Blossoms in control throughout the game.

The Blossoms' lineup delivered a balanced attack, with multiple players contributing key hits. Grace Anderson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Ellie Stoen also had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI, a run, and a walk. Johnson helped her own cause by going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a run, and a walk. Kenley Bangert added a double, going 1-for-4, and Madelyn Harvey scored two runs despite an 0-for-3 day, drawing a walk in the process.

For a team looking to build momentum, this fast-starting victory shows the potential of the Blossoms' offense when it clicks early. As the season progresses, fans can expect more explosive innings like this one from Blooming Prairie.
