The Times-Union rounds up first-round high school softball scores from Class 5A-7A and Rural in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.

Sarah Wisniewski has a flair for the dramatic—and she proved it again when it mattered most.

For the second time in just one week, the Atlantic Coast star delivered a walk-off moment against Creekside. This time, it came in the form of a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the seventh inning, lifting the Stingrays to a 4-3 victory in the Florida High School Athletic Association Region 1-7A softball first round on May 7.

Trailing 3-2 heading into the final frame, Atlantic Coast (19-7) mounted a comeback that showcased their resilience. Singles by Emma Cano and Josleen Mendoza, followed by a walk to Lily Maguire, loaded the bases with no outs. Morgan Brown then stepped up and delivered a game-tying single, setting the stage for Wisniewski's unconventional—but effective—RBI that sent Creekside (20-7) home.

Mendoza and Wisniewski each finished with two hits on the night, continuing a trend of clutch performances. Just a week earlier, on April 30, Wisniewski had delivered a walk-off RBI single in the seventh inning to secure a 4-3 victory and the District 1-7A championship.

The Stingrays now set their sights on a daunting road challenge: top-seeded Lake Brantley (23-3). The Patriots flexed their offensive muscle in a 12-0 shutout of Sandalwood, powered by two home runs from Auriana Turner and another from Sabrina Boyer. The Saints (15-11) managed just one hit against pitcher Lauren Compton.

Elsewhere in the bracket, Tocoi Creek (24-2) used a five-run sixth inning to break open a tight game against Ocala Forest (15-10), winning 6-1. Naomi Valcin's go-ahead double in the frame sparked the outburst, while Siena Gallant added two hits and Hannah Jones notched her 20th win of the season for the Toros. They'll await the winner of Navarre and Buchholz.

After a four-game losing skid had them searching for answers at the plate, Middleburg found their rhythm in a big way. The Broncos (13-15) erupted for a 17-3 road rout of Tallahassee Lincoln (19-8), scoring seven runs in both the fifth and seventh innings. Ariany Reynoso and Rylee Patterson each drove in three runs, while Bayleigh Girgis collected three hits to pace the attack. Next up: Milton or Tallahassee Chiles.

Gulf Breeze (16-12) rode a standout performance from Sally Alberson, who went 3-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run, to a 7-4 victory over Ponte Vedra. Summer Smith added four RBIs to support the cause. The Sharks (17-9) mounted a late-inning rally, but Nadia Campbell's three RBIs weren't enough to close the gap.

In Rural classification action, Branford's Harleigh Price put on a show. The Buccaneers star tossed a three-hitter in the circle and went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including a double and a home run, to lead her team to victory.
