As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, savvy dynasty fantasy football managers know that the window to acquire rookie running backs at a discount is closing fast. While we've already covered the top three overall rookies to target, today we're zeroing in on the running back position—specifically, three undervalued backs who could provide massive returns on investment.
If you caught our previous article, you'll remember Kaytron Allen as a strong buy-low candidate. He's still ranked as RB59 per Keep Trade Cut, making him a solid value play. But today, we're digging deeper into three more running backs—one ranked outside the top 40, and two who are flying under the radar outside the top 100.
Nicholas Singleton (Ranked outside top 40)
Starting with the highest-ranked player on this list, Singleton is an intriguing prospect. While his college teammate Allen excels between the tackles, Singleton brings elite explosiveness that can change a game in a single play. He's also shown reliable hands out of the backfield, hauling in 41 catches in 2024. That dual-threat ability gives him serious fantasy upside.
The concern? Consistency. Singleton has been a rollercoaster in college, posting two seasons over 1,000 rushing yards with at least 6.4 yards per carry, but also two seasons under 800 yards where he dipped below 4.6 YPC. His 2025 campaign was particularly disappointing, with just 549 rushing yards (4.5 YPC) and 24 catches across 12 games—though he did salvage his season with 13 touchdowns.
This inconsistency is exactly why Singleton's value is suppressed right now. In dynasty, that creates a buying opportunity for managers who believe his athletic ceiling will translate to the NFL.
