Danny Rohl is confident the Rangers board will bankroll his squad revamp this summer because they "see the potential at the moment". The German, who says he has been given assurances over his Ibrox future by chairman Andrew Cavenagh, knows change is needed after Rangers were consigned to a third-place Premiership finish and trophyless season. The Rangers board have spent around £40m on the squad this season and Rohl was asked if they are ready to invest significantly again.

Danny Rohl is gearing up for a pivotal summer at Rangers, and he's confident the club's board will back him with the necessary funds to rebuild the squad. Fresh off a disappointing third-place finish in the Scottish Premiership and a trophyless campaign, the German manager knows that change is non-negotiable.

Rohl has received assurances from chairman Andrew Cavenagh about his future at Ibrox, and he's banking on the board's willingness to invest again after already spending around £40 million on the squad this season. "I cannot guarantee you how much, but I can guarantee you that they are really open to go again forward because they see the potential at the moment," Rohl explained. "They see really what we missed, and what we can do with the right signings."

For a club of Rangers' stature, a third-place finish is far from acceptable, and Rohl is acutely aware of the need to inject both quality and leadership into the dressing room. He highlighted the work already done in the January transfer window as a foundation for the summer overhaul. "I think there will be changes, and we have to change. We started in January, we made some good signings," he said. "And in the summer we want to move forward, bring quality in and bring leadership in. It's both things we have to bring together in the right balance."

The manager emphasized that building a cohesive unit is the top priority. "We have not a team, we need a team. The team must be very strong and for this we need different profiles," Rohl stated. He acknowledged that recent matches have exposed the need for leaders who can set high standards on and off the pitch. "The main topic in the last days and games was then again how we have to find the balance between going back to new leadership, because we lose some leaders, and this is a part as well for the recruitment. Set standards, high standards, on and off the pitch every day for this club."

As Rangers look to bounce back from a season to forget, Rohl's message is clear: the ambition is there, the board is ready to spend, and the focus is on building a team that can compete at the highest level. For fans and followers of the club, this summer promises to be a defining moment in the quest to restore Rangers to their rightful place at the top of Scottish football.
